For Your Consideration

I am a firm believer in volunteerism and giving back to my profession and an organization (CAP) that has supported me throughout my career. My experience as first an employed academic pathologist, then a leader of a private practice pathology group, and recently as CEO of the American Board of Pathology (ABPath) have provided me with the leadership skills, insights, and expertise to contribute significantly to CAP and pathology. I have had many years of enjoyable, dedicated involvement with CAP on numerous Councils, Committees, and Task Forces as well as involvement at the local, state, and national levels in pathology and organized medicine. I understand the issues and concerns of practicing pathologists and our physician colleagues. CAP is the organization that has provided outstanding advocacy, education, and quality improvements in pathology and I have the time and commitment to contribute to enhancing these activities. Being a CAP Governor would be a great honor and privilege and I would like the opportunity to enjoy the collegiality of working with fellow pathologists and CAP’s outstanding staff for the betterment of our profession.
